No mission. Enjoy the weekend {grin}

(May as well do something productive with my "Where's DH?" insomnia)

Have had a lovely family fun day

Just done my afternoon routine. DH planning on playing Halo game all night so I'm off upstairs to watch tv in bed

BigBeeristheBigBeer · 29/09/2007 19:46

Been to the inlaws today, DD1 loved it, despite being a new member of the Fly hospital. Has an awful croupy cough.

Didn't do much of my late afternoon/evening routine yesterday, just sat on the sofa watching tv, reading mags and getting pissed.

So some things are repeated today!

  1. Get me and girls washed and dressed incl. DD1's hair and my make-up - done
  2. Breakfasts and clear away and drink water - done
  3. Unload DW and load - done
  4. Wash up and sterilize bottles, shine sink - done
  5. Sweep kitchen/dining room and wipe surfaces - NOT DONE
  6. Start WM - done
  7. Make beds and open curtains - done
  8. Empty litter tray - done
  9. What's for dinner? - DH is cooking Thai Potato soup
  10. pack stuff for day and drive to in laws - done

Afternoon routine

  1. drink water - done
  2. yesterday's adapted mission - cleaned out bottom of wardrobe
  3. hotspot - done
  4. Christmas present list: what to buy? - not done
  5. DD2's physio - done
  6. Hang up wet washing/put away dry - not done yet

Evening routine

  1. Tea for DDs - done
  2. Bath DDs - done
  3. Read stories to DD1 - done
  4. Swish and swipe - done
  5. Tidy toys - done
  6. Put out clothes for next day
  7. Load DW/clear up/feed cat and drink water - fed cat so far
  8. Find an ethical CTF - asked for 2 application packs
  9. another hotspot - done
  10. Read my book for a bit
Jas · 29/09/2007 20:08

My list is not done at all - I'm ot even going to post it.

DP did the shopping (I send him with a list harley, otherwise he buys tons of meat and not much else) then came back and spent the rest of the day replacing things in the loft and draining radiators, and we now have working heating.

I was the gofer all day, so I'm shattered, but he bought me wine before sneaking off to the pub. I'm going to open it in a mo.

We're having our family fun day tomorrow - Woburn safari park for dd2s birthday treat. We're all looking forward to it.

SlightlyMadSweden · 29/09/2007 20:17

Evening all...have done lots but ot much from list....have stripped and changed beds, done yesterdays mission on DTDs wardrobe, been on a shopping spree and spent precisly £0 .

Went to buy a pair of boots for me (couldn't find any laceups and my ankles have been destroyed by DD3 and zips don't tfit).

Went to check DD33s shoes ad get her new shoes (but they still fit so didn't buy new yet).

Had a browse around the next sale. Everything I saw I liked either wasn't in sale or didn't have my size. Saw a nice bra but didn't have my size so didn't buy. Still DP has been an arsehole for no apparent reason all day so I am glad I didn't get it. Still planning to go further afeild tomorrow so may have more luck there.

(P.S. am typing iin thin air with wireless keyboard cos DD3 is trying to help type so appologies for typos)

FunkyGlassSlipper · 29/09/2007 20:27

DD33 just made me LOL

BigBeeristheBigBeer · 29/09/2007 22:23

Hope you have had a nice evening with your dh, grouchy.

Was most gratified today to see that my sink is shinier than my MIL's!

DD1 is v unsettled, preparing myself for a night of doom

SlightlyMadSweden · 29/09/2007 22:57

at 33 DDs....most definately should have been DD3....I did warn you about the typos

ludaloo · 30/09/2007 08:16

Morning Everyone

I had a steady cleaning day yesterday, got quite a few bits and bobs done...but didn't actually do the windows....so will try and do them today.
Today is ironing day, I bought some nice new coat hangers with the intention of clearing out the bottom of the wardrobe...never have enough hangers so it all gets piled in down there.
Also need to sit and go over my Welsh...my next lesson is tomorrow.

BiancaCastafiore · 30/09/2007 08:22

Good morning everyone
I have woken up with my first cold of the season, which explains my exhaustion on Friday and the most horrific headache I've ever had yesterday

Yay for the heating Jas, you'll be needing it - I've been freezing the last few evenings!

Hope you and dh ahd a good evening grouchy ( at being bought flowers/any romantic gesture at all)

Yadda hope you're fully recovered this morning!

SMS lol at dd33 Can you imagine???!
Hope you have a better shopping trip today

bigbeer did you and dd get a good night's sleep? Hope so x

Luda a fair is coming to a town near us today, I'm trying to hide the fact from the kids...

Ruby shame about the laptop....

I'm sure I've missed someone, apologies to whoever that is - there are sooo many of us these days

Ds has a party to go to this afternoon so dd wants to do some baking with me while he's out. She's chosing something from her cook book now.
I need to run round with the hoover but am trying to avoid FLYing at the weekends and have family time instead.

Have a good day everyone

BiancaCastafiore · 30/09/2007 08:23

x posts Luda Good morning

ludaloo · 30/09/2007 08:33

Morning Bianca

Have fun cooking. I might make a lemon drizzle today..wanted to make one last week but didn't have enough butter. I have since been shopping!

I'm off to have a nice soak

Yippee! Bet that's a relief Ruby

Well, I decided to get all the ironing out the bottom of the wardrobe and ended up doing a complete overhaul! (I'm sure that I have covered all the missions in one go)
Threw out a whole pile of stuff...which I was convinced I didn't even have (I don't have many clothes, and thought if I chucked anything away, I'd be down to a few things!) Still managed to chuck out 4 black bin bags of stuff that either doesn't fit...or I never ever wear...and never will. I really cannot believe it all came out the wardrobe!

Anyway...did knicker drawer....I am in desperate need of underwear...as is dh, so that will be my next shopping spree.

I have a big pile of ironing to do now...which I can hang back up, as I have cleared plenty of space.

I think I need to stop buying childrens clothes and focus on myself, and dh! We just wear the same things over and over again, and when I get spare cash, I always buy for the kids. We both need a new lot of clothes me thinks. (I realised that most of the clothes DH has were bought before we even had kids....over 6 years ago ...he obviously hasn't put weight on at all, as they all still fit fine....I on the other hand, can no longer get into anything! )

Sorry...wittering on there!! Off to put all the bags in the car..to take to various recycling/charity places.
Then start the ironing...

TheMadHouse · 30/09/2007 10:28

Morning all

DH is out of the FLY Hospital, but I feel like I need to take up his bed.

Not done anything yet really, but the chicken is on for Dinner and the veg is prepared.

Today we are going to tackle the garden. Mow, strim and tide and cover all the toys and furniture etc. we go away on Friday and want to ensure that all weather tight

Morning all, have been pottering today. Have cleaned grubby marks from near doors and switch plates.

Will not get shopping today I was up at 6:30 with DD3 (not DD33!!!) so planned to have a nap this afternoon, and FIL rang and invited themselves over, so no nap and no shopping....still at least my FLYing is put to the test as it is not necessary to blitz anywhere particularly.

OTOH SIL is coming over for a shopping spree next weekend (she is not local so likes to look around shops in a different town) so will more than likely spend lots (she knows how to spend... then anyway...or maybe I shall still be sitting here in a few months moaning I need new boots & bras and trousers..

Anyway I see that the winter colds are coming out, I am hoping I will get a few weeks off as my ears are still blocked from the fluey thing I had last week. Still blocked ears are a plus with the racket in the background (DTDs are practising recorder )

Am off to eat roast chicken that DP has prepared & then entertain guests.

Back later.

grouchyoscar · 30/09/2007 13:07

Afternoon ALL

I have a stinking hangover and I don't care 1st one in ages

The meal was fantastic last night, cake fab and I can't remember anything else

I've stripped the bedclothes, remade the bed and loaded the wm, Also sorted some laundry out for drying.

House can look after itself today

BigBeeristheBigBeer · 30/09/2007 13:58

I could do with some magic pants, luda. Will be off to sainsburys tomorrow.

Good news about the floor Ruby.

Glad you had a fun evening grouchy, I think you deserve it!

My DH has roasted a chicken today too, it was num, though DD1 refused to touch it .

She was up 1 million times in the night, doing a big wee on the floor on one memorable occasion, while i yelled at dh that HE could get up once or twice instead of me.

He says that i wake up quicker than him, and that he can't open his eyes as quickly as he apparently has a sticky eye problem and needs drops .

Anyway, I got a lie in so am not too exhausted.

ludaloo · 30/09/2007 15:05

Oh...we don't have a Sainsbury's
I did go to Matalan though. I got myself 4 pairs of knickers, 2 with matching bras and
2 packs of socks (10 in total)
I also got Dh 3 pairs of pants and 7 pairs of socks.
I could have gone mad, but only £20, so didn't do too bad!
It will be my mission to fill my knicker drawer up. DH (rather typically) thinks new underwear is a great idea

I have also just finished the ironing....HURRAH!!!!!

ludaloo · 30/09/2007 15:12

Madhouse, SMS and GO Hope you all feel better soon xx

GO glad you had a good night (I could do with one too)

Bigbeer much sympathy for the broken night...my DD2 is one for waking in the night. Hope tonight is better.

Ruby I have never had a pair of magic pants...but when I hit 30, everything started to go flabby...I'm now 31, and have a big flabby belly and a rapidly sagging butt....I will be investing in some on my next spree....defo!

grouchyoscar · 30/09/2007 16:05

DH has gone back to work [angry emoticon too much, I'm just resigned to it now]

Went down stairs and NO housework had been done...what's the point of having rest time if when I get up the DW needs emptying, the draining board is full, washing needs sorting out of the dryer and washer and the sink needs cleaning?

Ah well, all sorted now. Good job I'm FLY enabled

So to do

Entertain Ed (I'm hunting for educational web sites for him
Make evening meal (Veggy gratin)
Tidy away
Clean Ed's shoes
Get clothes ready for morning (it's come as a character from a book...It's a cop out, he has a wizards outfit so he can go as a member of hufflepuff!)
Put him to bed.
Await the return of DH

Oh how wonderous is the life I lead

OP posts:
ludaloo · 30/09/2007 16:49

I think I've thrown my whisk ends out
De cluttered the cutlery drawer last week, and remember throwing some old ones...now can't find the ones of my new whisk. I've either thrown them, or the kids have found them.

GAH!!

Oops sorry Luda, I meant Ruby. Wasn't trying to imply you needed magic pants. You may suit a thong better for all I know [digging myself into a hole emoticon]. I will shut up now .
