How often changing items?

Hello,
I started thinking whether I am not changing my items, such as Towels, kitchen towels, bedding maybe even curtains often enough? Oh and the cushions.. I might think of more.
I am attached to staff and was decluttering a bit when I realised I had bedding from ten year ago, my towels were actually 8 years old.kitchen towels up to 5 years old. Curtains are now 6 years old.
I donated bedding and towels, they are in absolutely great condition...
I like to save money, thinking of investment rather than new bedding every year.
How often do you change such things? If they are clean and not damaged I don't really see a point of getting new ones.
I have mixed feelings about this right now.

I use most of those things until they get stained/holey/scruffy then I cut them up and use them as rags or dog towels etc. Good quality stuff can and should last years imho.

Curtains can go to the charity shop but actually i buy plain classic ones that fit with my colour scheme so I don’t change them really (unless sizes wrong).

I haven't bought any new curtains bedding or towels for perhaps 18 years. I just buy quality, and look after it. Still got the same curtains & carpet for the last 25 years too. (I'm not keen on decorating so same colour is fine)
