Black hob or stainless steel?

Which counter top cooker is easier to maintain? I think it's probably stainless steel

Has anyone got the black glass jobs, are they harder to clean? They look so lovely! But I can imagine all dust will show up on it!
Do the black hobs leave stains? That are tough to get out?

I have a glass induction hob. Installed in 2015, it still looks like new and I’m definitely not a domestic goddess. It takes less time to clean than the stainless steel oven door fronts.

I will never have anything stainless steel in my kitchen again, it's a nightmare to clean. If you have a choice go for the black glass.

Black .. stainless steel is awful ! You can never get rid of the marks !

@oohnicevase Absolutely, I've got about 10 different stainless steel cleaning products under the sink, the best one is Wilko's own brand.

We have black glass. It's not hard to clean in itself but the gas rings make it morr difficult (as would be the case on a stainless steel hob too). So if induction is an option i would go for that.
