Stinky jumper

I have an old but comfy jumper that's perfect for in-between weather and wearing around the house.

However, despite frequent washing, it's developed a mouldy sort of smell, like it's been left damp somewhere. I've washed it several times, and dried it thoroughly in a tumble drier but the smell is still there.

Any suggestions, or do I have to bin it?

Have you tried washing it with white vinegar in water, and hanging outside to dry?

air it outside overnight

Is your washer clean? Every now and then I set a 90° wash going on empty to kill the germs lurking inside. Sometimes I use a washing machine cleaner too like Dr Beckman. Occasionally I have tipped a squirt of bleach in instead.

If you do that and it's still smelly, you could try dettol laundry liquid. I have some and it works.
