Hi, we've just had new carpet put down in the bedrooms in our house. We have a Dyson at the moment which will not move on the carpet, it's luck it gets stuck, which we have found is because the carpet is thick pile. Could anyone recommend a hoover that is suitable for thick pile carpets. Thanks!

Just came in here to ask the very same question.
What did you go for ? I'm looking at a sebo or the shark corded or even a robo vac....
too much choice really
Has anyone bought a vacuum they have been disappointed with recently? That might narrow my options !

I have a shark lift away which I love, it would get stuck on our bedroom carpet when it's on full suction but you can adjust the suction to be less

I brought a sebo after the new carpet I put down was too thick for my hoover, the front of the sebo raises and falls according to the thickness of the carpet/floor.

After having numerous hoovers over the years the sebo is by far the best I’ve ever had.

I bought a roomba in Jan and have been delighted with it. Did not go for latest version.

About the shark liftaway. When you 'lift it away' unless you keep hold of it it's really annoying to use. If you put it down and use two hands to hold the nozzle it tends to fall over. Anyone else?!

G Tech Air Ram has poor suction.

Dyson is reliable

Henry hoover is fab for a cheapy

My Dyson engineer took the small rubber seal (it's like a thin elastic band) from around the floor brush to stop it sucking our fluffy bedroom carpet so hard. It solved the issue.

Have you ever think about having a robot vacuum? My husband bought it in a sale at winter. First time of using I thought it would ruin my house, but know I use it regularly and I am mostly happy. Mine is okay with carpets, but not every. You need to read the specifications carefully or watch some videos on Youtube.
