Goy a Kirby Generation 5

Sounds like a Spitfire but boy does it suck up anything!

burstingbug · 29/09/2007 14:32

My Kirby legend II died on me hence why I demanded a new hoover, had a Vax turboforce thing too and that died pretty quickly. Both hoovers have lost suction despite being cleaned and the bands don't last 5 minutes either

The first Kirby lasted 12 years...then DH killed it by sucking up a sock . Thought about other vacs but nothing was as good as another Kirby

Shame they cost a small fortune. Plumped for a factory recon in the end

burstingbug · 29/09/2007 18:09

Maybe I could sell it on for spares or repairs then It has the accessory kit too, think much of it is still there.

OP posts:
grouchyoscar · 29/09/2007 18:14

See if you could have it repaired?

burstingbug · 29/09/2007 18:19

Might do, will keep it for a bit and look into repairing it. See how I get on with the new hoover - should be here in the next 2 weeks!
Mean time I'm having to use the hose on the Kirby.

Good luck with it
