Best hoover for long pile carpet/tips for keeping carpet fluffy

Please can someone recommend a hoover for keeping long pile carpets clean and fluffy (that's not meant to be an oxymoron) We had new carpet fitted last year and our current hoover (Henry) is pretty useless on it. I'm really disappointed that the carpet has flattened so much already after going to the top of our budget for it. We're about to re carpet the other bedrooms, and I can't decide whether to go for a longer pile (but not as luxurious as last years) or something quite flat, which doesn't feel as nice but at least I can't be disappointed in it flattering, so any tips on how to keep it nice and soft also greatly received!

I should add that budget for new hoover is around £200 - could push this a bit if there's an overwhelming winner

Do you use the brush attachment on the Henry? I find that is the only thing that brings my carpets up nice.

@Mitzdob yes I do use the attachment, I think perhaps it's just had it's day now!

You need a shark!

Absolutely brilliant for bringing the pile up. Has 3 different settings for hard flooring, medium and long pile.

Not even joking my carpets looked brand new again after I ditched my dyson for this!

@Unknown2020 I'm very pleased you've said that, as I have already ordered one!

You won’t regret it Grin with young children and pets I hoover everyday, but I was horrified at the amount the shark picked up that my Dyson hadn’t been collecting!
