Cordless vacuum recs please

I have a cordless dyson which is about 5 years old. It’s started playing up and I suspect needs a new battery costing £65. I’ve never been overly happy with it and am wondering if I should put the £65 towards a new cordless vacuum instead.

I need something easy and light to use as I have arthritis. We do have a big hoover too that my husband uses but I need the cordless for quick tidy ups and the stairs.

Please tell me your recommendations.

I have the Gtech Pro and I love it. The suction is as powerful as a decent corded vacuum and it is extremely light - I bought it when pregnant and it was a lifesaver. I have the bagged version but they do a bagless one if you prefer that. Highly recommend.

Following as mine is on its last legs.

I have a Morphy Richards cordless and avoid like the plague! It lost suction not long after I bought it. It needs to be constantly taken apart to clear blockages. Its sucks nothing!!!

Not Dyson again. I hate ours. DH bought it and it's never been as good as my trusty Miele. They've brought out a cordless so might be worth looking at it.

I ordered a GTech for my DParents - lightweight , cordless , easy to empty . very powerful .
You need to assemble the handle - it clicks into place and you cannot unclick it .
The cable for the charger isn't very long but ok. And the plug is grey/green so they knows its for the GTech (my parents are the type who keep a load of chargers then wondr why they cannot find the right one)

I bought a Halo Capsual recently . Very light , powerful , I can use on our stairs easily .
We have two cats so lots of hair to vacuum up.

It has bags (1.6l) which I think improves the suction.

The Shark Rocket ( bane of my life) will be banished to the Cupboard of Doom and will only come out if I need to clean up something unsavoury .
