I have always wondered how you do this. Someone told me not to use
the brush on the seat just the bowl.

@VitreousHumour

Kitchen roll has been the revelation here. I want to be green but I never know what to do with cloths that have wiped bodily fluids. I don't even want them near other stuff in the dirty linen.
I always feel bad about using it but use bare minimum to ease conscience Smile

But what about underwear and nappies? Surely you just put them straight into the washing machine?

You’re right that’s what I would have done with poo-ey pants when the kids were smaller. Now we have moved to a bigger house though and the washing machine is right at the bottom in the basement so it doesn’t occur to me!

Black Harpic got rid of the stains and limescale when my toilet was in an awful state, it's amazing stuff.
I clean the seat etc with toilet roll as it can then be flushed.

I am allergic to the bristle loo brushes but our loos need them (small boys and hard water too!) Joseph Joseph products never seem to last long so not sure my husband will be thrilled if I bung the bristle jobs and replace with those. However I am also allergic to idea of cloths going down the loo and then into the washing machine with anything else (or full stop really), just something about the inside of a loo...
So help what else could I do? It is just the inside, the rest gets done with anti bac and a cloth

Why do people use kitchen roll? I use the toilet roll as it can be flushed down the toilet afterwards.

wheresmymojo · 04/07/2020 10:24

I find the toilet roll breaks up and leaves toilet roll fluff all over...

Is it only me using anti bacterial wipes on every bit of the toilet. They go in the bin afterwards not down the toilet.

I then put bleach down the toilet and leave for a while. After a few hours I give the inside a good scrub with a toilet brush.
