Perm marker on whiteboard

Any ideas how I can remove what I presume is Permanent marker from the whiteboard? Normal cleaner isn't shifting it.

Not happy with DH right now!

Go over it in dry wipe marker then wipe away. Should take off the permanent ink

Try alcohol gel (hand gel) that shifts most things ...

Acetone or alcohol (vodka, gin or meths, whatever your favourite tipple is🙂).

White spirit gets it off

Nail varnish remover worked for me

Thanks for all the ideas for DH to try when he gets home from work.

Petrol. We had this a few times at my sailing club and always used petrol from the safety boat to get it off.

Whiteboard marker over the top of the permanent marker definitely works

CMOTDibbler · 22/06/2020 10:19

I always do the whiteboard marker over it method

Magic sponge - they really are magical.

Cleaned off with a mixture of the whiteboard pen trick and nail varnish remover. Turned out he did it deliberately to wind me up as he knew how to get it off.. they do it accidentally all the time in the office apparently. I didn't find it amusing.

I bring nail varnish remover wipes to the Scout Den when my Cubs have been over zealous.....works perfectly.
