Laundry bag for delicate fabric

Hi,
Has anyone used a zipped laundry bag for delicate fabric? Do they protect clothes? I have a jersey dress with some beading and would like to put it on a delicate wash cycle. Would a laundry bag give it more protection?

Yes, I use them for my dd’s school tights. It’s stops things getting stretched and it protects them from zips etc. Mine are from Dunelm.
