Home absolutely stinks of weed, no one smokes it

Hi, I know this thread is in housekeeping I didn’t know which one to choose as this is a very bizarre question 😂

Iv been living at my ground floor flat for a year and recently my flat has been smelling really strongly of weed in the hallway it’s particularly bad there so when people walk in it’s the first thing they smell, me and partner don’t smoke it and I know my upstairs neighbour fairly well and I know he doesn’t smoke it either.

Could anyone have any clue what this could be? Iv tried everything regularly cleaning the hallway area, spraying air freshener and iv bought a plug in air freshener where it helps but doesn’t get rid of the smell.

Any help would be appreciated X

What is in the attic?
Sounds like you are either IN a grow house or your neighbours are growing?
Cannabis when its a female plant being accelerated in the flowering stage can stink - and it comes in waves and gets through cracks and boards....

Im afraid I do know because i had exactly the same problem a few years ago in a maisonette i was renting...turned out neighbour had a virtual cannabis farm growing under hot lights in the attic...i may be completely wrong though
