I did a search but the last one is 2 years ago, so looking for recent buys. Preferably on the cheaper end too.

I've got an Olivia Blake London one I picked up in tk maxx which is great, has lasted ages and the scent is string enough to notice but not overpowering. I'm having trouble tracking them down for a decent price online though so may have to chance my luck once I can get back to tk! MIL swears by Parks, which also seem to last a long time.

The apothecary range from Marks and Spencer’s is lovely

BillyAndTheSillies · 10/06/2020 07:34

Following with interest in an attempt to talk myself down from a Diptyque plug in.

Picked up one from The Aromatherapy Co in TK Maxx months ago and never saw the brand again, and can't find it online.

At the moment we have a Myrhh & Tonka "scent surround" from JM, which I love. The scent is beautiful and very subtle. I've got it in the living room and it's been open since March, still got 7/8ths left in the bottle, so will definitely buy one of those again. The Aldi dupes give me a really bad headache.

I've found the most long-lasting, with a good throw of scent, are from Next. My favourite is one called Antigua.

justaweeone · 10/06/2020 07:44

Also have a look at next
Lidl do a really cheap Fig one that I decant into a different bottle
Osprey ones are lovely but expensive and if I could afford it I'd fill my home with Neom, JM and the likes Grin

I agree, the M&S apothecary range is love,y. I've got Balance reed diffuse, and Calm room spray. They last ages too.

3catsandcounting · 10/06/2020 11:55

Sorry for typo's

kirkandpetal · 10/06/2020 12:00

Another recommendation for M&S. I have the 'calm' one and it's quite a spa like smell. I don't use all the reeds that come with it though, to make it a bit more subtle and last longer. The actual bottle itself is also quite stylish but might be considered a bit masculine. It's in our en-suite so I don't mi d too much.

see they are now doing refill bottles which is great as that means I can use old diffuser bottles with the extra reeds too

belfasteast · 13/06/2020 06:05

Thought I'd update. I got an M&S one which doesn't smell at all unless you are up really close, it doesn't make a difference to the room. To my surprise a relative bought me one from B&M (it was a cheapie she said, but the bottle was nice) and it's really lovely!

Thanks for all of the replies, I will go to TKMaxx when it reopens.

I love this one but I love the smell of oranges I find it really calming.
Used to have a steam mist one but the top ups are so expensive and don't find they last that long .

Katyy · 13/06/2020 06:23

Please let’s keep this going. Whilst in lockdown I’ve spent a fortune on smellies for the house it’s been my comfort buy. So far I’ve had Cath kitson someone bought me that nice but not worth the money. Aldi pomegranate couldn’t smell anything ,Aldi bliss the same. Boots awake useless.
Out of desperation resorted to air wick but much too strong made my husband cough !

The Yankee candle plug in baby powder absolutely awful nothing like the candle. Looking for something else now I like spa scents. I do like the m and s fig oil and room spray although it doesn’t last long.

BigRedBoat · 13/06/2020 06:49

I prefer the b&m jo malone copies to the Aldi ones but tk maxx is definitely a good shout too.

belfasteast · 13/06/2020 11:14

@BigRedBoat which ones in B&M are the JM copies?

OP posts:
BigRedBoat · 13/06/2020 12:18

I haven't bought them for a while as I've just been using wax melts but they are similar scents and have numbers on, eg number 3 is one particular scent, 6 is another so I assume they're supposed to be like jo malone.

belfasteast · 14/06/2020 11:35

@justaweeone I've looked into those as ideally I would prefer something natural over synthetic, but do they give a good throw or would you need one in every room?

Windyatthebeach · 14/06/2020 11:36

If you have dcats op some fragrances are toxic to them...

justaweeone · 14/06/2020 22:54

You can use organic natural oils
It dependents on how strong the of the fragrance of the oil is with regard to the throw.
