Dishwasher recommendations?

Really boring, I know, but our dishwasher has packed up and is no longer under warranty, so need to replace it and Feeling a bit clueless.

I’ve looked at Which? and most of the ‘best’ are £600-1000. Definitely can’t afford that.

So we’re looking for something at the lower end of the market, I guess. Not Hi-Sense, a DH thinks it’s a crap brand since we had problems with some other appliances from that brand. And not something totally crap that would suit a holiday home (we use our dishwasher heavily!).

Does a fairly cheap but decent dishwasher exist? Any recommendations? Many thanks!

Ours is an 8yo Bosch, fairly basic model. Can't remember what we paid, prob less than £400.

On daily, no problems so far. Either we have been really lucky or we'd had a bad run previously - before the Bosch we got through two cheaper ones in less than 5 years.

I have an indesit dishwasher it was just under £400 and it's good for the money. Try AO that's where we always get our appliances.

Beko. Avoid Electrolux, our house came with one & if it had been my first dw I would have wondered why people had them.

We have a Bosch. Our rental property has a Bosch as old as Methuselah and it's still going strong too! Think ours was under £400.

I'm fairly sure our Neff was just under £400 about 5 years ago.

Just checked JL and their cheapest Neff is an integrated one for £399 which I think is the one we've got - been very happy with it - miles better than the Whirlpool for Ikea one we had before (which was here when we bought our house).

I always had bosch but just couldn't afford it 2 years ago when separating. I bought a beko & it's brilliant it was £240 installed from AO

Another Bosch vote here had an integrated model at my last house I was sad to leave it tbh - 15 years service and no bother. I have another Bosch now in my current home.

Just an update that my Bosch was delivered today and I’m really happy with it! Thank you for all your advice 😊

Beko. Reliable, affordable and a trustworthy brand. My previous washing machine lasted 6 years...but I think it would have done better if I'd have looked after it (severe hard water area). I have a Beko fridge freezer that is 8 years old. My dishwasher is only 2 years old...but if it's anything like the other appliances, then it's got lots of life in it. Previous dishwasher was a 20 year old Phillip's...we like getting our money's worth in this family.
