How often do you change toilet brushes

I don't have a set timeline. I guess when the base starts to rust through, as I usually get a metal style one.

We have the Ikea ones where you can replace the head. And I do that every 6 months or so. But give it all a good clean in a bucket of bleach/Milton every month.

I buy £1 ones and throw them out every so often

Am clearly a slob - bought property ‘97 and believe I’m on 4th

I remember reading somewhere (maybe here) that some people put them through the dishwasher to give them good clean.

I change mine when they're looking manky and a douse in a bucket of bleach doesn't do the trick any more.

On mn the rule about toilet brushes is that nobody admits they have one..
Wink

I've had mine since before my eldest was born so 7+ years?

Why does it matter?

squashyhat · 08/06/2020 17:37

You're supposed to change them? Confused

HighOnStilts · 08/06/2020 17:52

My other half was under the impression you use them to push actual SHIT down the loo if it's blocked and he did just that. Last time we ever had a loo brush in the house.. 😆
