What do I do with Spray Starch??

I've ordered stain remover spray in our weekly shop and they substituted it with Dr Beckmann Spray Starch Confused. I've never used it in my life - What do I do with it?? Is it a stain remover? The instructions on the spray bottle aren't very clear either but I don't think it's a stain remover. Please help a woman out!

Actually, I've just googled it. Probably should have done that before posting. So it's used for ironing Blush do I just spray it on and iron? Grin

It's not a stain remover. You spray it on items you want starched just before you iron them, and it makes the fabric stiffer. I occasionally use it on tablecloths and the like. You have obviously never needed it, so it is a pointless substitution for you.

I’d ask for a refund as it’s not a comparable substitution!

It stiffens material, so you spray it on then iron it. Used to use it in the military for collars, cuffs and shirt fronts.

Definitely not a stain remover.

I will just leave it, I'll use it for ironing and was only £1. What a strange substitute though!

It's good for shirt collars and cuffs.

I love to starch my bedding before I iron it

Thank you all, I will give it a go. For all I know I might fall in love with it Grin

I worked in a small hotel in the mid 90's, we spray starched towels, table cloths, bed sheets the lot! I didn't know it still existed!
