Mopping matt tiles

Probably the most boring thread you'll read today but after a kitchen refurb earlier this year, I now have beautiful matt floor tiles. At the moment it feels like a big mistake! They are never clean. There is always ground in dirt that I just can't get out.
So far I've tried a steam mop and white vinegar with a scrubbing brush.
Any suggestions?

Our previous owner put them in the bathroom. They are awful to keep clean, my commiserations.

Scrubbing with a brush and an abrasive cleaner is all I've found that works. Doesn't happen often, so we just mop for hygiene, with seemingly no visual effect.

Would it be worth putting a coating over them? We have Victorian Red tiles that show up every speckle of anything and since coating them, has made a bit of a difference.

@YeahNahWhal I wish I'd have researched more! They are definitely no longer white.

@ilovemydogandMrObama this sounds interesting. What's the coating? Although I feel like I'd be coating over dirt and grime at the moment!

Try Fila Solutions - my tile shop recommended the Fila neutral detergent for day to day cleaning of my matt kitchen floor tiles and you can also leave it on for 5 mins before scrubbing and rinsing for a deep clean every now and then. Word of caution - stick to the neutral detergent unless you know what you are doing as the stronger products are very strong.
