Hand wash vs delicates

Hi all,

I currently have a washing machine which has a cycle for hand wash and a cycle for delicates.

We are moving house and are leaving our machine here so will need to buy a new washing machine.

I thought I had decided on the machine that I wanted, Samsung Add Wash but have realised that although this has a delicates cycle there is no hand wash option.

Can I put hand wash items on a delicate cycle or would I be better off getting a machine with both cycles?

Thank you!

Have you looked at the manual online? Mine has delicates on a 700 spin, hand wash at 900. Can do both on 30 or cold. So yes I would use delicates for hand wash stuff but I’d check the manual for your machine to see what exactly it does on those settings.

That’s a good idea, no I haven’t done that - will take a look. Thank you

My machine has both settings, I put some jumpers on delicates rather than handwash as they smelt a bit deoderanty, they shrunk!

I once ruined a wool jumper from Hobbs by accidentally putting it on a hand wash delicates cycle instead of a hand wash wool one. Jumper shrunk and felted. I was gutted.
