Normal mop and steam mop?

I use both - normal mop with detergent and then steam mop. My mum says I'm being ridiculous and steam mop by itself is perfectly fine, she sprays the floor with diluted disinfectant then steam mops. What does everyone else think?

I just steam mop.
My cleaner used to use a mop and bucket. The floor(lvt) has more of a shine with the mop and bucket.

Mop & bucket THEN steam mop seems way over the top.

I personally use a spray mop with diluted detergent daily and as and when needed but either use a mop and bucket or steam mop once a week to five the floors a proper clean. Never both at the sane time though.
