Recycling hangers?

Have lots of spare hangers, mostly plastic & wire. Some are purchased rather than shop give away. Is there anyway to recycle them? Not sure if charity shops with accept them, even when they reopen.
Any ideas?

Our council recycling centres take hard plastics & metal so if you took the hook off to separate the parts then both bits could be recycled.

Offer them on Freegle.

Hi girls, really struggling with my SO drilling holes into the wall, have you got any life hacks on how to organise your recycling?

WhiteOrchid9 · 18/02/2021 10:39

Hey WendyGirl1, I have the same problem, my recycling builds up way to quickly at the mo, its too cold outside, and dont want to take the recycling out more than once a week - Any ideas to organise recycling in the home will be super useful! thanks gals

I have 4 Ikea Sortera bins stacked in utility.
I have stencilled TINS, PLASTIC, GLASS and CLEAR GLASS* on the lift up flap.
Put the one that will be heaviest filled at the bottom
The lids keep any smells in

(* I keep my clear glass separate and take it to council dump every few months as clear glass has a higher recycle value than mixed)

Use the 37 litre Sortera not the big ones.

And for zombie OP, I took all wire coat hangers to small independent dry cleaner and she was happy to accept them.

My MIL puts hooks on her fridge to organise, do you gals do the same? Cheerio!
