yaddayah · 18/09/2007 08:10

Thanks for the thread jas

Heh heh I don't have bins in any room (don't even have a proper kitchen bin (I re use a carrier bag perched on a hook in the utility room, then when its full its straight in the wheely bin) SO I can be smug and say mission accomplished !

Following yesterdays ahem discussions
I am going to recheck the babysteps and nick someone elses do a proper list so I can be teachers pet do it properly

BiancaCastafiore · 18/09/2007 09:16

Morning all

yadda

I have to agree with FGS about the babysteps and so on. I look in on the other FLY threadin the mornings and am finding the whole routine thing very useful. I like coming home from the school run knowing the basics in the house are already done
I try to do a simple bedtiem routine too (ie-laying out clothes, getting bookbags/gym stuff etc ready by the front door). I haven't mastered an afternoon routine cos I seem to often be ferrying the kids around all afternoon at the moment!
It's bin day today so I'll clean the bathroom bin while it's empty. And I will do yesterdays mission too

I'm going to work for a bit this morning, then ds has a friend coming to play. I'm hoping they'll play nicely so I can perhaps get some ironing done this afternoon.

Better go and give work a call and see where I need to spend the morning.
See you all later x

ludaloo · 18/09/2007 09:20

Morning

Awwww EHM It was a very fond laugh, and meant in a nicest of ways....

  1. Make bed will when dh gets out of it
  2. Swish & Swipe bathroom did last night
  3. Put a washload in done
  4. Empty dishwasher did last night

I am contemplating starting DD2 off with Potty Training....I took the potty out the cupboard and presented it to her this morning. So far it has been a car, a hat, and currently a bowl for her grapes

DD1 has lost her first tooth! She was eating a biscuit yesterday and it popped out She was chuffed this morning as the tooth fairy had been.

Well I shall get on..I can hear floor boards creaking so I'll make dh a cuppa....what time do you call this MR LUDALOO ??

BiancaCastafiore · 18/09/2007 09:28

Aww - great news about the tooth Luda
lol at your dd2 and the potty

Work don't think they need me after all so I may have a bonus morning at home

I'd better have something to show for it by lunchtime so am off to get cracking.

yaddayah · 18/09/2007 10:13

at potty uses.. Re tooth :ds is awaiting that milestone .. a couple of his friends have lost one and he keeps asking to eat lots of apples so they can fall out
bianca I know I should have worked out who you are .. but i'm useless .. teeny clue ?

Off for a cup of tea (does that count as water ? I'm sure I read an article once saying it did)

BiancaCastafiore · 18/09/2007 10:37

Afternoon All

Eating cheese on toast with ellie. So thought I would check in.

Bin in bathroom gets emptied & wiped daily to avoid ellie emptying contents everywhere.

jas thanks for thread & email
yadd ---- you are doing well with your list
scatty I really admire you, I struggle & i dont work.
bianca & FGS I can understand why the baby steps help. I already have morning & night time routines though. For instance if I am taking ellie swimming next day along with laying out her clothes before she goes to bed. I pack swim stuff & restock nappy bag etc. I've done this since she was only weeks old(obviously not the swim stuff
luda thanks i know. I smiled at tooth & potty stories.

Took me so long to type this response as I had to put ellie down for her nap, falling sleep eating her cheese on toast. then sister called.

ludaloo · 18/09/2007 14:05

Hi EHM awww @ Ellie falling asleep whilst eating

Well I have chatted on MSN, written in my control journal, looked at my emails, so now I had better go and hoover!

Afternoon all!
jas thanks for thread.

DH worked from home this morning so I couldn't get near the computer until now.

Started off well :

-DW unloaded
-WM-2 loads out , one in and in dryer(rain -grrr)
-S+S cloakroom
-deliver important documents
-post (other) important appraisal documents
-Tesco shop! menu planning !

Now it's school pickup time!

to do:
-ironing
-dinner(easy)
-S+S ensuite
-change sheets on my bed
-yesterday's and today's missions....

Better get cracking
Oh can someone tell me what CAT ing is, please?

Neverenough · 18/09/2007 15:09

Oh and scattyspice, hello I work too, 2 days a week and am out for over 13 hours so never get anything done apart from a basic morning and evening routine and am doing well to get those done. Still, better than nothing eh?

dissle · 18/09/2007 15:15

CAT is to Contact A Talker.

what swish and swipe a bathroom??

Jas · 18/09/2007 15:33

I've totally cocked up the school run today.I went to collect dd2 at 3, only to find that the club she wanted starts today, not yesterday so left without her. I got home to a phone call from dd1s school telling me her club has been cancelled and doesn't start til next week (She didn't get the letter as she wasn't at school yesterday)
Aaargh!

Luckily they have put her in another club for this week, so I can go back and get them both in 1/2 hour.

OP posts:
yaddayah · 18/09/2007 16:01

jas oh well i'm sure you're not the first to do it ds isn't old enough for school clubs this year so wisely i'm keeping quiet !

dissle swish and swipe .. quick scrub in my language.. its all the lurverly fly lady terminology.. it makes my teeth itch but it does work

ehm nice to see you, hope ellie enjoyed her cheese on toast !

Have remade beds (from morning list)
Cleaned 1 loo and swish and swiped ensuite

Also had a cup of coffee and a ginger chocolate cereal bar which was slurpily scrum

dc's playing nicely

I've stopped them eating skittles (previously we'd stop at the shop for a 10p mini bag as a treat)but after reading the e numbers (ouch) it seems to have stopped the afternoon manics

Back later

Neverenough · 18/09/2007 16:02

Thanks dissle!

Swish and swipe means a quick brush of loo(swish), wipe down with some sort of cleaner the seat, then the sink and surrounds and half the bath and part of the shower(swipe!).
then the next day I do the loo again and sink and another bit of bath and shower!
Takes all of 3 minutes! a la Flylady!
