Can anyone recommend a good iron please?

I have just tried to iron DHs shirts and no matter how much I go over them, or how hard I press they are still creased, so am blaming the iron (!) Can anyone recommend a decent one to me (pref. not one of those £200 monsters!)
Thanks x

Is your husband stronger than you? Maybe if he irons his own shirts you could not buy a new iron and save some money!

Lol, he can't iron - he did try but I don't mind doing it. Still comes out creased with him, really do think it's the iron

Hi quootie

lol - I was looking for same thing...came on this thread to see if there was any good advice and found it was your thread

I have just gone through 2 Tefal £40 irons in a year(same ones replaced under guarantee from Argos), so THOSE are shit..... don't know if that helps?!

orangina · 18/09/2007 16:42

Having said that, I did the Argos thing again, decided that about £40 was all I was prepared to spend on an iron, and found something reduced from £80 to £40, which is holding up so far..... perhaps you could go down that rather unscientific route?

Quootiepie · 18/09/2007 16:58

Heya beegee - shall we go iron shoppping together? Ok, no £40 Tefal... shall have a nose in argos x

I bought a morphy richards comfi grip professional at half price from argos 2 weeks ago (on the recommendation of a friend) and have to say its been great so far.

You put water in my iron - is that not it? Are you on about the ones that click onto something else?
