Help!! Brand new induction hob seems to have burnt...

Does anyone have any advice please?! We had been using a baking tray on the hob (it's an induction tray and we have a section of the hob designed for that) however the tray itself burnt, and now we are left with a large mark on the hob. The mark itself feels less polished than the rest of the glass. My guess is that the hob has burnt, and I don't know whether it's just on the surface. Has anyone had anything similar and knows of a way to sort it??

Something v similar happened to our hob within days of us moving into our our home. I was devastated as it was my fault and it was something daft that my husband would usually do and I would get cross at!

I was trying to warm liquid in a baking tray but I hadn't realised it had had boiled dry, ruined the tray and left a horrid mark on the hob. I tried most cleaners and nothing g worked. Then I tried 'pink stuff' which you can usually get in pound shops/supermarkets. It's slightly grainy so test carefully but it did remove the marks for me and it looks good as new now. It's a brilliant wee cleaner and a go to for stubborn marks and really good on cleaning up grubby outdoor chairs etc

Good luck!
