I need to be my own cleaner

I'd love a cleaner, but DH never wanted one, and now I can't have one, so I'm going to be my own cleaner. I've tried so many systems to keep the house clean and tidy, like TOMM and Flylady etc, but they all rely on me doing some everyday, and that just doesn't work. So I'm now thinking that I just need to treat it like a job for 3 or 4 hours a week and get it done, without distractions!

So can you tell me what your cleaner would normally clean for you, and what you do the day before to prepare for it?

So you’re taking o er from your DH who did the cleaning because he didn’t want a cleaner? Ask him his best methods and stick to exactly what he did before.

IME experience you will never clean as well as a cleaner as you'll get distracted by sorting, decluttering etc, rather than cleaning.
Why is your husband so against it? I'd be telling him to do the cleaning himself.

Hi. I'd tidy up the night before and clean the following day. Bathrooms, hoover, polish, mop. On a separate day I'd change the beds.
