Mattress topper recommendations please!

Due to Covid19 I am sleeping in DD’s old bedroom. Her bed and mattress are just over a year old from Ikea. Mattress is a thinnish foam one but quite comfortable.
But I’m old and am working long shifts on my feet. My legs and hip and back are aching quite a bit and I think this mattress isn’t as soft as my own pocket sprung mattress.
Can you recommend me a mattress topper to spend my birthday money on please? I need to be able to order it online and have it delivered to the house. Ideally £50 or under but am willing to go up to £100 if it’s really, really good!
I’d like it to help me stay warm or cool depending on the weather and would be happy if it was washable.
Thanks in anticipation 😴

I've got experience of two. My parents had a memory foam mattress which I think was supportive, but I loathed sleeping on it, but they liked it. We've just got a feather mattress topper for our bed, with a washable top layer, and it's been lovely to sleep on, but it was £150ish from John Lewis.

Possibly not the most helpful advice I've ever given!!!

In the short term, can you sleep with pillows between your knees or similar for some more support?

Thanks for your replies. I already sleep with a pillow between my knees and ankles due to a hip injury and one for my arm due to a wrist injury so it’s like I’m in a little cocoon!
Sadly no spare duvet to lie on.
I will go and investigate feather toppers. Would you say that your feather topper feels like a duvet or is it much thicker? Just wondering if I could get a feather duvet to put on the bed and be cheap 😊
