Mission

OP posts:
BiancaCastafiore · 17/09/2007 07:18

Good morning and thanks for the thread Jas
Hello to all who follow

Not the nicest mission today, but something I have to do resonably frequently anyway with a small boy in the house who likes to pee all over the toilet rather than in it!
I need to spend some time in the bedrooms so will be having a mini clear-out in dds room this morning. I'd also like to clear the kids bookshelf - we seem to still have lots of baby books which we don't need anymore.

I've done my morning routine already (wm, dw, s&s kitchen, packed lunches [smug]) I just need to get everyone dressed and out for school and work.

I'll report back later.

Weeeeeelll weekend was interesting.. ds woke up for the loo, managed to block the loo with paper and the handle caught so it was continuingly (is that a word??) refilling .. awoke at 6am to the sound of running water....

Spent all yesterday clearing up (luckily the water poured down the ventilation fan and ended up in the utility room (on my basket of ironing {angry] so at least the ceiling didn't cave in.. carpets are soaked and had too be cleaned and cleaned again [argggggggghhhhhhh emoticon]

Washed 12 towels/8 dishclothes/4 x normal washes (ironing pile) yesterday

Any ideas what I can do with 200 issues of National Geographic??? I no longer have space for them, but dp won't get rd of them

I'm going to make lunch, then do some FLYwork.

OP posts:
yaddayah · 17/09/2007 12:20

Whispers quietly

I'll see your national geographic and raise you :
every copy of the beano from when DH was 5 until he was 25

They're all stored in the loft

It took 3 grown men to lift them up through the loft hatch

I don't think they're ever coming down

Jas · 17/09/2007 13:32

We had those Beanos too They were my brothers, and i can't remember how I ended up with them, but they went in the recycing eventually.

FunkyGlassSlipper · 17/09/2007 14:45

hellooooo everyone.

i love handbags too ruby My favourite is a black leather coccinelle one I bought when working. Of course it looks silly with my daily gear now. sigh.

yaddayah · 17/09/2007 14:51

ruby that was one of my (failed) arguments for getting rid of them

Cue dh muttering .. well they're not going to spontaneously combust are they

Kicks magazine freebie tote bag under the desk

Off to pick up ds from school
Back later

(have finished hoovering)

Jas · 17/09/2007 14:52

I'm not a handbag person. I'v just replace the pink bag I got free with a magazine with a purple and gold long bag my mm bought me in a hippy shop when she was on holiday

I've bleurghd the house, and rehomed the National Geographics. Cup of tea is due I think.

Simply · 17/09/2007 14:58

Well, I think you've all been lucky! I wrote a long post earlier this morning, decided to make my user name shorter and lost it!

Thanks Jas for the thread.

Hello to everyone.

Which diary did you go for Ruby? I've bought the Pocket Life Book as I had the bigger one for 2007 and it was too big for me. I don't like it much so I'm undecided whether I should keep it or not. I looked at Filofaxes in WHSmith today and I'm thinking of getting one for 2009.

I've only just had lunch due to spending this morning in town. I want to make several casseroles and freeze some in portions so I'd best get cracking! Oh, and I've started making a Control Journal! I'll let you know how I get on with it.

EHM · 17/09/2007 15:10

Afternoon All

Done my morning routine before I left house at 1020 this morning. My toilet in the main bathroom is boxed in, although I wipe the bowl as part of my s & s routine

Been to park with Ellie, met a friend with her 2 boys. Ellie loved running around, she has no fear dives about, sometime head first from thingsSpent over 2 hours in the park.
