Ok so as I am on mat leave atm with my 4 month old and 9 year old is obviously not in school right now and my partner is home with me I have decided to declutter..

The issue is that we don't have many cupboards for storage only 2 really and one has the massive boiler in.

We are in a 2 bedroom flat..

Any tips to make it easier? Where should I start?

I'd go room by room perhaps start with a bathroom they do tend to be less cluttered as they are smaller. Look at things you don't currently use and question why if it's something that you haven't used /worn in over 6 months bin - ruthless but necessary. Good luck!

The life changing magic of tidying book has some good tips about doing items in an order - so all clothes, then all books etc.

The problem at the moment is that once sorted there is nowhere to take the stuff! I have been sorting stuff out and am now just surrounded by boxes and bags ready for the closed charity shop!!

For those of you decluttering although charity shops aren't open local homeless shelters will still be taking things. Our local one is desperate for clothing so worth looking into if you want to get rid of stuff immediately.

Listen to the podcast called 'A slob comes clean'. Really helped me a few years back when I lived in a cramped home, I still listen every week now as I do my chores.

Storage boxes got delivered today.. so managed to put things away properly. Decluttered the living room.

I have convinced Other half that he needs to sort old clothes for the textile bank at some point this week.. he has so many clothes

Job for tomorrow is to declutter the kitchen cupboards.
