Bin bag rooter

We live on a fairly busy road in the NW but can hear a pin drop on a Sunday night when there's no traffic on the road.

At approx 23:45 last night I heard someone rummaging through a bin bag outside our house. FYI we have had so much rubbish whilst the two of us are working from home, so left an extra bag that wouldn't fit in the bin, alongside the bin. I don't know why, but I just couldn't bring myself to look out the window. It lasted a few minutes before I heard a car driving past and it stopped. I finally looked out the window and the whole bin bag has gone!

My minds in overdrive about who? Why? Even what was in that rubbish bag!!

Should I be worried?

Sure it wasn't a fox? They're the bin bag botherers round here.

No, I wouldn't be worried. Loads of people have had time to have a clear out and with no tips or charity shops open they're putting it in household waste.

I live in flats with huge communal bins and even pre-covid you'd see people having a look to see if there was anything they could use like clothes.

What was in it? I’d be worried if it has lots of personal info such as bills or credit card slips...

Foxes rip open bin bags but don’t usually steal them.

I would suspect looking for personal info. Keep a close eye on your bank and credit card accounts for any unusual payments.

Could be a Private investigator that isn't very good at hiding.Grin
