FLbabies, Day 22.........Afternoon routine.

Jas · 16/09/2007 06:06

day 22

My afternoon routine is either sit on the sofa while the kids watch tv and I fall asleep (downside of the early starts is a serious drop in alertness at 4pm) or let them play out while I sit on my neighbours wall and drink tea.

Probably not what FLYlady is hoping for

Hello everyone

Thankyou jas and everyone, DS had a brilliant birthday, infact all the kids had a lovely day. No arguements or anything and they have all seemed truly grateful...so thats a result! The weather stayed beautiful too.
That's it all over with for another year!

I have been waiting for the afternoon routine, I think I kind of have one already...depends on the day though!

I have a fair bit of tidying to do today...but it isn't too bad considering.

See you all in a bit

BigBeeristheBigBeer · 16/09/2007 11:03

I am still here, DD3 and I are still attending hte friendly FLYhosp thopugh , are your DCs still there Jas or have they been discharged?

I have gone to pot again as a result of feeling shit, didn't get my sink shined last night as we had a power cut and it hadn't been done and we went to bed before power came back .

I am getting my routines crystalised in my head though, will try and write them out tonight when DCs are in bed if DP is still out.

Jas · 16/09/2007 14:38

The dds have finally made it out of FLYhospital this afternoon. Back to school tomorrow, unless things deteriorate overnight.
SMS if you write out your routines tonight, include swishing and swiping. It is tomorrows babystep, and I know you've been looking forward to it

Bigbeer - The disco sounds interestig. I hope it was fun.

BigBeeristheBigBeer · 16/09/2007 18:49

I have quite a lot left to do this evening.

The nightclub/disco experience WAS interesting. DD1 likes a boogie, especially when hula hoops and "dancing scarves" have been laid on. Dire music. And DH was too paranoid about looking like a "sad dad" to do any dancing! DD2 just looked bewildered (as well she might). They had snacks and food out for the kids. And a bubble machine. But we had to leave when DD1 got totally freaked by the smoke machine! Met up with an NCT friend I've not seen for ... probably over a year , so it was nice to catch up with her.

Get well soon SMS and SMS's DD3. We want more pics!

  1. Get me and girls washed and dressed incl. DD1's hair and my make-up - DH DID DD'S HAIR!!!!!
  2. Breakfasts and clear away - DH CLEARED AWAY!!!!!!

I have my weekly rota stuck to the fridge, which also has all the after school/toddler activities and times listed on it

SlightlyMadSweden · 16/09/2007 19:44

Hmmmm, I don't know what else I can photograph that will interest you....If I take pics of my shiny windows (which I finished today by doing outside f conservatory) you wouldn't be able to see anything!!!

SlightlyMadSweden · 16/09/2007 19:46

JAS you mean you ignore FL:Yladies instructions to get your clothes out !?!?!?!?

You will notice that I also deliberatly left off the mission, when I sort out my day specific lists that will go on Thurs & Fri, but not rest of week due to total lack of time.

Jas · 16/09/2007 20:39

Yes. I did consider leaving it on the list so I wouldn't have to ow up
I wear jeans and tshirts virtually every day, and the dds choose their own school uniform, so it is making work for me to get it out the night before imo.

winemakesmummyclever · 16/09/2007 21:29

Hi folks - hope that you are all well.

Just arrived back from Dublin and am knackered. The house has remained standing in my absence and I'm just about to slip between lovely, clean sheets. Sink is shiny. Too knackered to do anything else. Back on the wagon tomorrow .

blossomsmine · 16/09/2007 22:07

Hi all!
My afternoon mission will be......

putting together something for the evening meal....
getting washing in from line
putting away shopping (always do abit of shopping when getting kids from school)
I don't know what else to say......

Jas · 16/09/2007 22:12

Hi blossomsmine

I don't know if menu planning comes in the baby steps but it has made a huge difference here. I know someone asked if anyone did it the other day and I didn't answer.
I plan weekly and shop accordingly, so I don't have any more last minute chicken nugget dinners

babypowder · 16/09/2007 22:15

FunkyGlassSlipper · 16/09/2007 22:18

Hi Guys,

well done bp.

Jas - I've just started menu planning. So far it is cutting an average of £15 off my weekly food bill and I also know roughyl what we are having for dinner each night. I'm a convert.

Jas · 16/09/2007 22:21

Yes FGS I am spending less, wasting less, and we are eating better. I have been doing it for a year now

Well done babypowder on the cupboard under the sink

OP posts:
mylastrolo · 16/09/2007 22:48

This is so impressive on here. So how does menu planning work? I lurk and wish it was me.

to do tomorrow:
hoover
wash kitchen and bathroom floors

paperwork
ironing

jas your weekly planner on fridge sounds good.
