Blocked sink in bathroom

The sink in the bathroom is blocked and I have tried numerous supermarket products to no avail. Can anyone recommend a good sink unblocker?

Have you tried one of those drain snake things?

Have you a plunger?

Alternatively, can you easily access the U tube and unscrew if to clear it out?

Good old fashioned plunger did the trick this week, hugely satisfying

Empty the water out.
Block the top hole and chuck washing up liquid, then bicard soda down the plug hole.
Hold the plug in hard, wait 3 mins.
The pour boiling water down.

So I did the washing up liquid and bicarb, dug around the plug and plunged like mad and it worked! Thanks everyone for your advice!
