Good morning all

Lol simply I was hungry after reading last nights food related posts!

Dh has just got home from running my bro and SiL to Heathrow this morning - they've gone off on a nice 3 week holiday

It's the village harvest festival/lunch today but I'm not sure we'll be going along. We need to have a lazy day.
Dd has lots of homework to do.
Ds is very tired.
Dh needs a day off.
I need to do a bit of clearing up around the house after my neglectful week.

ludaloo · 16/09/2007 08:56

Good morning everyone

Thankyou for all the nice vibes
DS had a fab birthday! DD1 and 2 both had a great day too, the party was brilliant, and the weather was glorious!

shouldbe Thankyou so very much for their pressies. DS was chuffed to bits! I'm so very that my choice of pressies for your two were not half as thoughtful. Thankyou xx
Well done too for the costume!!! 1st prize too! Fantastic!

I haven't caught up on the threads properly, but I do hope you are all well

Well today will be spent tidying up I fear! The place isn't too bad considering it was heaving with people all day yesterday, but it needs some attention.

I'd like to catch up with Eastenders today too.

ludaloo · 16/09/2007 08:57

....you've changed your name back!

shouldbedoinghousework · 16/09/2007 09:08

Luda I'm pleased yours liked the pressies. I can take no credit, they were chosen by my dd and ds Come onto MSN sometime today if you can, I could do with talking to you (but am about to have a bath now - will be out again in 30mins or so!)

I'd like to catch up with Eastenders too - I'm saving my ironing till then

ludaloo · 16/09/2007 09:12

I'll log on

ludaloo · 16/09/2007 09:13

Nudge me when you are ready

shouldbedoinghousework · 16/09/2007 09:13

Oh, and simply, I just heard the news you were refering too - I hope it's not true too...

shouldbedoinghousework · 16/09/2007 09:13

Luda

ludaloo · 16/09/2007 09:15

What news is that??

ludaloo · 16/09/2007 09:17

oh...I have found it DH is a big fan of rallying too...he will be to hear that.

gibberish · 16/09/2007 09:19

Morning everyone

glitter, shouldbe and simply I'll post you some lemon chicken to you all. The package may be a bit soggy by the time it arrives though...

simply I really, really need someone to sort me out re late nights. It's getting out of control! I'm still a fairly early riser so am permanently knackered! I think it's that, once the kids are away to bed, that is MY time. And because dd1 is getting older, she is now up until 9.30 so MY time doesn't really start until then. So to make it worthwhile it has to last until at least 11 if that makes sense Not a good enough excuse though as the black shadows under my eyes testify.

shouldbe and luda, have a happy housework day (is there such a thing?)

Got loads to do - all the stuff that I was too lazy to do yesterday basically. We want to go away up north this week so I need to get the house, washing and ironing done today. We're having trouble finding somewhere though - everything seems to be booked up! Off to have another search.

Have a lovely day everyone!

Jas · 16/09/2007 09:30

Good morning all

I have no interest in your food Just don't cook nice veggie food and tell me about it!

I am always up late Lately I am reducin my night time mumsnetting in am attempt to sped some time with dp, or at least in the same room as him.
I am exactly the same re having time for me.I would rather be tired than never have child-free time.

ludaloo · 16/09/2007 09:52

shouldbe I have to get kids dressed...and have a quick wash.... I'll be back in a bit

shouldbedoinghousework · 16/09/2007 09:54

Afternoon all!

Right :

Make lasagne for dinner(sorry Jas-my lot love meat!)
Ironing
1 load in WM
Further 30 mins on my appraisal
30 mins paying bills etc
Vaccuum upstairs
S+S cloakroom

I have to get off PC now as DD is doing her homework, I have similar problem to gibberish in that both DD1 and DD2 stay up til 9.30 and 9.15 respectively so no chance of getting down time til then.

Have a good Sunday afternoon-good luck with finding somewhere nice gibberish!

Jas · 16/09/2007 14:21

Afternoon

I am busy trying not to kill dp. I truly hate havng hm work at home. I also hate that everytime he says he will do something, I believe him, then he lets me down, and when I mention it I'm nagging and he goes out. Guess what kind of day I'm having??

I have only just raised bedtime for the dds to 8. I am not looking forward to 9.30 bedtimes. At least by then, ds will be bigger and hopefully sleeping past 6am, so I can catch up on sleep at the other end of the day.

Bianca Like the new name.

I was going to d a long post, but need to go and check the potatoes. I may be back later....

BiancaCastafiore · 16/09/2007 14:42

I'm glad the new name is OK so far
I'm sure those of you who don't know who I am will realise soon enough - and please don't reveal my past identity

I'm dreading later bedtimes for my two. I have been wondering if dd should go to bed later than ds. We do offer it as a treat at the weekends sometimes when she likes to watch Come Dancing type programmes.

We have been to the supermarket and dh has now taken dd out for a bike ride while ds sleeps on the sofa (awww)

I should be getting some tidying up done while they're out but am sitting here on MN whilst watching Eastenders instead
Before they get home I vow to~
~tidy my bedroom
~wash rugs from living room
~s&s kitchen
~clear shoes from the hall

Better go and get it done.

gibberish · 16/09/2007 15:49

Right, am going to have to use process of elimination to work you out Bianca BTW, our younger two go to bed at about 8pm and the older two always went to bed at the same time - 9pm. However, dd1 recently objected, saying that she should have a later bedtime than dd2... so dd1 now goes at 9.30 and dd2 and 9.00pm! Won't be long before dd3 says she should have a later bedtime than dd4...

EHM wanted to go to Nairn or Inverness way. But we have looked at the weather forecast and it is PANTS so we have decided to not go . Save our money and take the girls out days around here instead. Sensible I suppose, but not the same as a change of scenery...

Ah well, I've got the house looking nice anyway. Spent the morning with the girls setting up Jenga bricks around the lounge in the form of dominoes, knocking them down and recording it. Good fun. Off to play cards with them now and dh is making cakes this afternoon. Dinner is made and I have wine for tonight (tut tut, I was doing SOOO well but I AM on holiday...) so a good day so far

BiancaCastafiore · 16/09/2007 16:08

They're back and I have

~tidy my bedroom
~wash rugs from living room done
~hoovered living room done
~s&s kitchen done
~clear shoes from the hall done
~cleared out shoe cupboard done
~moved some pots about in the garden done
~put jacket potatoes in oven for supper done
~watched end of Eastenders done

Just need to do my bedroom, but that my have to wait till tomorrow.
Any chance we're in the master bedroom zone this coming week?

glitterfairy · 16/09/2007 18:59

Not managed as much as I though today but have stuck another picture up and tidied a little and cooked, washed up, done a presentation for work, taken dd to ballet and an hour and fifteen minutes running.

Then this afternoon dd and I took a tea of tray up to bed and read vogue and grazia together laughing and being silly. She is 12 so still not really teenagey. She doesnt see x at all and so we get one day together every other weekend which is always lovely.

shouldbe · 16/09/2007 19:58

You sound as though you've done loads Glitter It must be nice to have girls time with your dd

I got a lot of jobs done this evening when I had a sudden burst of energy.
I have all the uniform laid out ready for the morning, dd did her homework and I'm looking forward to a good nights sleep (fingers crossed!)

I'm not going to be around for a few days so will see you soon x
