Awful carpet stain!

Hi all,

So there was a random brownish stain on our new carpet (6 months old) no clue what it was... Dh denies all knowledge... Anyway I used a bleach and water solution on it as safe to use bleach on this carpet and usually it works (removed a previous tea and coffee stain no problem) however this did not budge. I've now bleached it twice and used white wine vinegar and bicarb but it just looks worse than ever... Like a browny/yellowy ring. Shock does anyone have any suggestions? Really need to get this out. It looks hideous!

What colour is the carpet? I wouldn't use wine vinegar ! It's problem if it's not a new stain. Bicarb is good though.

It’s a grey/silver/blue. It was a new stain but still don’t know what it was.

Could it be red wine? If it's brand new then sprinkle with plain soda water . If not then just a paste of bicarb and water rub it in leave it on for half an hour and then remove with clean water.

White vinegar (not wine vinegar) can be used.

No definitely not red wine. It was a browny colour - looked more like tea or coffee but dh said he hadn’t spilled anything. Apart from that could have been dog wee possibly. I feel like everything I’m putting on it has made it worse...
