Can anyone recommend some good BBQ charcoal that will light easily and well? Thanks

Sainsbury’s do bags of charcoal that are wrapped in lighter paper. Never had an issue with them. You can get them most places.

Thanks TDL2016, do you have a link for the Sainsbury's charcoal, or the name, as I can't find it on their website? It would be great to find some charcoal that actually works - DH resorted to lighting our BBQ with petrol last time and I never want to experience that again!

I normally get a bag of the instant lighting charcoal, the stuff where you get 4 bags within the one sack. They light instantly and then I top it up with regular bbq charcoal, works every time. Alternatively, if you've got one of those weed burner wands, light any bbq charcoal with that. Quick and foolproof.

The charcoal-in-a-bag seems to be the way to go then. I hadn't come across those weed burner wands before but they sound promising - thanks for your help Laffinalltheway.
