Black washing has grey mottling...

First ever wash with brand new machine using gel, not powder. No evidence of a tissue in the wash.

Why has my black clothing got what looks like tissue or undisolved powder residue on it
? 🙁

All I can suggest is that you wash something else on a long wash, towels or sheets etc, to give the machine a good clear out, and then wash the black stuff again afterwards. Perhaps there was some sort of residue in the machine, who knows?

If it is first ever wash there might be residue from factory testing still in the machine.
Maybe do an empty wash at 60, then wash as normal.
