Oven hinge popped out!

Finished cleaning the built in oven and then spotted some food trapped in the gap where the hinges are. Ran a cloth through and then I must have done something with the mechanism as the hinge popped out and now the door is hanging off and I can't get it back on. Very tough strong spring that I suspect might pop in if one knows how?

Do we imagine a handy DIY er could fix it? Would not be worth calling someone out given the age of the oven but it works perfectly well apart from this happening with the door. Any thoughts?

Many thanks
C

Have you looked on YouTube to see if there is a video of someone doing that repair? I've managed to repair quite a few things by following a video.

Find the model number (might be on a strip inside the oven, near the door).

Look up user guide or video as PP said.

Most hinges are designed to come off so you can clean it properly... you just need to know how to put it back!

My Neff oven has hinges like you describe. Like the others have said, look for a video on it. With mine you just have to get the door at the right angle then it goes back on easily.
