Happy happy happy birthday to Jas hope you're being spoiled rotten

EHM We're off SC to low carbon Scarborough. Got a flat for a week for £250 overlooking the north bay. We went last year and loved it. We'll end up being one of those elderly types with 4 generations in tow saying 'ooo we love it here, we've been every year for 30 years why do you want to go anywhere else.'

Spent ages packing basics like towels, undies, books (for ed)my meds and card games. Dug out the 3rd suitcase for these.
I've dug out Ed's sunglasses and hat (I'm living in hope). I'm also packing wellies too (We'll we're going rockpooling)

Read in the paper that the QE2 is coming by on Sunday to pick up Sir Jimmy 'Now then now then hows about that then' Saville. That will be nice to see.

House clean, downstairs vacced, sink cleaned, yep, they'd crumble without me...I like to tell myself

SimplySparkling · 13/09/2007 15:20

Happy Birthday to you, Jas.

I've been lurking on the threads for days but haven't posted as I've been snowed under at work and had lots to do at home. I even worked today which is normally a non-work day.

The dog is telling me it is time for a walk before the kids come home from school. I'll post tomorrow.

chinwag · 13/09/2007 15:48

Hi all. Thank you for being so welcoming. Been at work, so couldn't respond until now.

Happy birthday Jas. Did you get some nice pressies?

So the idea of this is to recount jobs done, and to do list? Mutual encouragement, with a bit of chat?

ludaloo · 13/09/2007 18:58

Hello

Chinwag...that is pretty much it...you might want to have a look at the Babysteps threads too...I flip between this one and that one. We are doing the whole FLY thing from the beginning on that thread.

shouldbe your DD is good at choosing lovely things!!! My DD1 loves her beads, she has made some great things

blossom Hello, I hope you don't wear yourself out too much with work and Flying...but well done for keeping up!!!!

mylastrolo ergh I hate paperwork...I don't have much inspirational advice....I just have to force myself to get on and do it...but once its done you'll be pleased

mylastrolo · 13/09/2007 20:18

done:

well as much as i could of paperwork before kids got home. nearly there.

just left it now on dining-room table to restart tomorrow.

got alot of filing done.

STILL TO START ON RECIEPTS!!!

So made banana muffins and loaf with a nigella recipe for a ring tin!!!! used muffin tray and loaf tin.

girls and d/h all had 2 muffins after pasta bake so that was good. wanted to use black bananas as i am always throwing them out and wanted to prove hubby wrong.

very easy to make and i had no vanilla essence but still lovely and tasty.

mylastrolo · 13/09/2007 20:29

night ladies off to bed to chill. so tired today.

thanks for all your encouragement. see you all tomorrow i hope .

I should do the bedtime routine now.

Jas · 13/09/2007 20:45

I'm too old for presents I got flowers and tea towels, and a long chat on the phone with my brother.

I took the children out for my birthdy meal, as I really wanted pizza and the best one round here doesn't deliver. DD1 had a headache (her fist ever) and now has a temp of 38 despite calpol an hour ago, so it looks like my plans fror tomorrow may change.

Thanks for the good wishes, and a big HELLO to simplySparkling...see you tomorrow

Grouchy - low carbon Scarborough? I don't understand.

I'm going to see if there is anything on telly, and drink wine and eat chocolate. I will be back if I can't find anything to watch.....

Good evening

I'm taking a break from wing making duties...

Feeling very tired and fed up this evening. Dd had cryed and screamed for almost 2 hours this evening - mostly from total and utter exhaustion I am completely drained by it all. She just can't switch off and go to sleep despite being soooo tired.
I've been trying to get the costume ready for dd to add all the sparkle etc after school tomorrow but don't feel I've made any progress
I've eaten too much junk today too

I think I'll head for the bath in a minute and have another early night in the hope of feeling less tired tomorrow

shouldbe · 13/09/2007 20:55

I hope you were able to enjoy your birthday pizza Jas and hope your dd is OK

mylastrolo · 13/09/2007 21:09

news flash have done bedtime routine

lunches are made
and dresses ironed

shouldbe hope you get a good night's sleep
jas glad you enjoyed your birhtday.

night to everyone else.

Jas · 13/09/2007 22:09

Nothing on now. I was just in time for Who Do You Think You Are?

Is everyone in bed already?

No evening routine today, but kitchen is ok as I haven't cooked tea.

Glad you had a good day Jas, like the idea of the wine and chocolate

Luda - just in case i don't get time to get on MN tomorrow, i hope your dd has a wonderful party By the way do you have to make crispy cakes on the day or can you do them beforehand? Just thinking about when it is my dd's bd don't know if i will be organised enough to do it on the day!!

Feeling quite pleased with myself, as even though i was at work and out tonight, i did morning and evening routines, and the ironing (almost up to date now!) and cleaned outside of kitchen cupboard doors. Also cleaned bathroom shelf that has loads of bottles and stuff on it, been meaning to do it for ages!

Anyway no one will probably read this as it is so late!! Hope to join you tomorrow.

Jas · 14/09/2007 06:38

I read it blossomsminebefore I started the new thread
