Is it safe to mix soap powder and bleach?

I cleaned out the kitchen sink pipes and u bend. It was disgusting. Truly. Speaking to a friend about it, he recommended putting bleach then soap powder then boiling water down the plughole in future to keep them clean. Due to the current lockdown I thought I'd question on here if it's safe, as I don't have the usual bicarb/vinegar in, and I'd rather not blow the back wall or my eyebrows off. TIA.

Bleach and boiling water isn't a good mix. That how you make chlorine gas and the bleach is no longer effective. I wouldn't have thought the soap would be much better either.

I wouldn't risk it. Soda crystals and boiling water should flush it out. If that doesn't work try caustic soda but glove and goggle up.

when my pipes get blocked I pour thick bleah down them leave for about hald an hour and then flush with cold water it seems to work but never use hot water with bleach or bicarb poured down neat and a small amount of cold water to make it fizz leave and then flush down

If the blockage is fatty or greasy do not use caustic soda.
It will turn into a great big blob of soap.

Can you guess how I found that out?

I would put a cup or two of soda over the plughole then boiling water. repeat if it doesn't work.

Caustic soda isn't something to use regularly.
