Good idea-will do likewise!
Do you always get up so early Jas?

gibberish · 12/09/2007 21:17

Jas Thanks for that link - fantastic!

Hi never and chinwag and ofcourse all you old cronies

I've done loads today - and without a list too In work tomorrow but then I am off for a whole blissful 10 days! Yahoo!

What zone are we in this week? I've been terrible - not keeping up. Hope it's not the lounge - my couch must have billions of pens (not to mention all sorts of unmentionable stuff inside it it's been so long since I ventured down there...

Jas · 12/09/2007 21:25

gibberish- Kitchen

never ds thinks that between 5.30 and 6 is a good time to start the day

chinwag · 12/09/2007 21:30

Thanks you guys.

Neverenoughhandbags · 12/09/2007 21:33

Jas I remember those halcyon days.......thankfully DD is 7 now, gets up at 7 and heads straight for the TV....

Jas · 12/09/2007 21:37

I have the 7 yr old, too. (or I will in two weeks when she has had her birthday)

I also have an 8 yr old who gets up and brings the baby dowstairs when he wakes up. Great at 6, but I'm a bit worried she will think it is morning and do the same thing at 4 if I don't get to him quickly enough.

Neverenoughhandbags · 12/09/2007 21:42

What a sweetie!
They so love helping at that age-DD would love a baby sister or brother but her older sisters would die of embarrassment!

gibberish · 12/09/2007 21:55

Hey I have a 7 year old to

Kitchen, aaah My kitchen is gleaming since only just being fitted.

gibberish · 12/09/2007 21:56

Oops, TOO even...

Neverenoughhandbags · 12/09/2007 22:00

Lovely age, gibberish, isn't it? Although I say that at every age!
Have kitchen envy big time

Jas · 12/09/2007 22:01

He only has three clear words (unless you count Deddy Deey Do before he dive bombs the sofa) and one of them is a very cute version of her name.

gibberish · 12/09/2007 22:02

You wouldn't never. The kitchen has been an ongoing project since the 1st of July and isn't quite finished yet...

Still what IS done is fabulous! So pleased. I've waited for it for 16 years though! The upheaval is unbelievable though. And I've decided to knock a wall down betweent the kitchen and the dining room so there's no end in sight... must be mad.

Jas · 12/09/2007 22:03

Kitchen envy here too.
I'm hoping for a bedroom before Christmas. The new kichen is WAAAAAYYY down on the list.

OP posts:
gibberish · 12/09/2007 22:03

Oh and 14 isn't always a lovely age...

I'm sure the aliens that have taken over atm will transport her back into her body when she is about 25 though

Jas · 12/09/2007 22:05

Oooh yes. Is your dp doing the work? (sorry if I'm getting confused)

Mine is.
My kitchen was done when we moved in (10 yrs ago) and I only have one double socket in the whole room thanks to dp!

OP posts:
gibberish · 12/09/2007 22:05

We have SOOOO much to do to this house though. Have had a new downstairs bathroom, a utility room fitted out, now the kitchen done. Still got the dining room wall to sort out, a new bathroom to be installed upstairs and we need to decorate every single room. Might be finished in 10 years. Then will have to start the whole thing again!

Neverenoughhandbags · 12/09/2007 22:07

Denial! It's the only way!

gibberish · 12/09/2007 22:07

Well, he WAS doing it until I sacked him It was never going to get finished so I bit the bullet and hired countless people to do the work. Now have LOADS of electricity sockets (my sympathies are with you) and even have under unit lighting fitted! So posh Everything is integrated and have wooden flooring.. Still got the tiling to do though but hopefully won't be long before it is done. Have slight problem with financing it though after having to pay all these people...

Jas · 12/09/2007 22:08

I thought 7 was the lovely age. I'm not considerig 14 (i have 2 dds, and only onebathroom!)

OP posts:
gibberish · 12/09/2007 22:09

I have 4 dds and only one bathroom... cloakroom downstairs but only one shower in the house. Not ideal!

Jas · 12/09/2007 22:09

I'd love to sack dp.I may post pics of my bedroom so you can see why tomorrow

OP posts:
Jas · 12/09/2007 22:10

The loft is on my list of things to do, and it will include a second shower and toilet.

OP posts:
gibberish · 12/09/2007 22:13

Ok, shower here...

I've been asking dh to fit a new handle on our downstairs loo for 4 months. If i dared mention it I was 'nagging' I begged and pleaded for an outside whirlygig drier thing to be fitted for about a year (had it sitting unused in a cupboard for that time). Eventually got so sick of waiting the neighbours saw me one day out in the back garden trying to drill a hole in the patio slabbing I think embarrassment made dh do it for me after that lol.

Jas · 12/09/2007 22:16

Ok, so obviously dp is a bigamist and skipping between the two of us

No wonder he never gets anything done.

I'm off to bed.

NN.
