The light that comes on when more salt is needed has broken on my old dishwasher. I’ve been topping it up once every couple of months regardless as I live in a hard water area.
I opened the cap to check on it yesterday and the salt compartment is full to the brim with salt, even though I topped it up over a month ago. I’m just surprised that it hasn’t dissolved more by now? 
I’m also getting white streaks on my glasses, despite regular rinse aid top ups (the rinse aid light does still work).
Any thoughts on what could be happening?
