Brown Toilet Seat Stains

We have a 16 year-old loo (purpose built building). The loo seat had gone noticeably brown. We have few visitors and when we do we just brazen it out. However, it had reached the point where I was thinking of replacing the seat or painting it. Drastic measures. Just had a go now with bleach on a scouring pad and it came up just fine.

I hope this post is of use to someone, somewhere.

Is it a plastic seat?

It is not wood but what type of plastic it is I don't know. It is white by the way. Forgot to add that in the opening post.

FFS just get a new one and care for it ugh!

Just replace the seat! It's not rocket science, ffs.

I can’t quite believe it’s taken you 16 years to bleach your loo seat. I am not by any stretch of the imagination domesticated, but that’s basic hygiene.
