New dryer

Hey everyone

I’ve just got a new dryer today, it’s brand new but after I washed my clothes, I noticed they had that dryer smell.

It’s a small I can’t describe, but one I’ve smelt before. I wouldn’t say it’s offensive.

My question is could it be because I put jumpers in? I don’t really want my clothes smelling, I’ll end up re-washing them if I think they smell. (:

Any tips or info would be greatly received.

Thank you. (:

No idea on that one sorry. Have you tried using dryer sheets?

It may take a while for it to disappear if it's new? We use dryer balls and you can put essential oils on them if you don't want the chemicals of dryer sheets.

@BammBamm I’ve got some dryer sheets so I’m going to see if they work.

On some clothes, it’s kind of a cheesy smell. But on others, has a dryer smell. Strange m.

I can’t cope with dodgy smells. 🤣

Me neither. Occasionally our new dryer has made the clothes smell like gas Hmm
Luckily not often but they go straight back in the wash.

Same, that’s what I do.

Our own worst enemy. 🤣

I can’t cope.

I’ve done a wash, popped it into the dryer and they smell like digestives. /:

I’m starting to wonder if it could be the clothes? /: we didn’t have a dryer for about 6 months and used the radiators and this heated clothes horse.

I’m wondering if the clothes could have picked up the dodgy drying smell whilst drying on the radiators?

The pain. I’m willing to throw all the clothes out at this point. 🤣
