do we have any washing machine engineers or experts on Mumsnet please?

I have just noticed that I have some horrible black stuff stuck to the rubber door seal bit, perhaps more stained than stuck as it's not raised. I have tried cleaning it with an E cloth, I have tried Cif and I have tried scrubbing it, all to no avail.
Any tips please?

If it does'nt smell, I would'nt worry about it, otherwise you can get a replacement from the manufacturer.

traceukw1's DH is something to do with washing machines, I think.
