Weighted blankets

Does anyone have one of these? Passing through living room earlier, TV on, not sure if it was a film or just a programme but I heard one of the females asking her friend if the weighted blanket was making a difference - reply was that it was a godsend and she was grateful her doctor recommended it! I'd never heard of them and just did a search on Amazon and they seem quite expensive. Not really sure what they're supposed to do to make them a godsend?

Would folding a SK duvet in half create the same thing in principle or is that totally daft idea? Grin

I have one. Poor sleeping for a multitude of reasons. It’s quite heavy if you try pick it up but doesn’t feel that heavy when you’re under it (it is a double size).

It’s not too hot at all. In fact, I’ll put a duvet over the top of it for warmth in the winter months.

Ok this is a few months old this thread but -

I bought one for my DD (18) for last year when she had to get into a better sleep routine for University after months of Lockdown bad sleeping.

I got a QVC one , it is handwashable but I seriously wouldn't want to , it weighs enough dry .

She loves it , it's like being swaddled rather than a heavy weight on.
She says it isn't hot but I wouldn't like it
