Hello FLYbabies - JAS has sent me a text to tell me her broadband is dead

I'm meant to be keeping an eye on you lot (I think this is her way of getting me to start again )

FunkyGlassSlipper · 10/09/2007 08:16

Hi everyone

BigBearistheBigBear · 10/09/2007 08:20

Oh, I am impressed SMS. Well done .

DH is always tired by 10 and wants to be in bed at 10.30 at the latest. I only really start waking up about 7pm and the last thing I want to do is go to bed early. So I end up barely able to crawl out of bed in the mornings. The DDs are awake from about 6.15, tho I can generelly more or less ignore them till 7 .

Supposed I should set my bed time for 10.30. Maybe I'd get more hot lovin' that way .

BigBearistheBigBear · 10/09/2007 08:22

Today I must bless my home in fifteen of seventy-five ways. (But I can't be arsed.)

FunkyGlassSlipper · 10/09/2007 08:41

Back now. Chaos here as we all got up late...

Morning routine for those who want to follow:

Morning routine

  1. Make bed
  2. Swish & Swipe bathroom
  3. Put a washload in
  4. Empty dishwasher
  5. DRINK SOME WATER
  6. Clear away breakfast things
  7. Think about what you want for dinner - take out meat if necessary.
  8. 2 minute hotspot
  9. 5 minute room rescue
  10. Is your sink still shiny?

For new flybabies start as slowly as you need. You'll catch up in no time. This list looks long but it takes about 20 minutes.

FunkyGlassSlipper · 10/09/2007 08:42

FunkyGlassSlipper · 10/09/2007 10:43

Ok, DD1 at preschool and DD2 just drifting off for her nap.

So,
Morning routine

FunkyGlassSlipper · 10/09/2007 11:20

Back again (and talking to myself??)

I had a cup of tea instead of water

I've done 5 minutes in DD1 room. She had got every single teddy she owned and lined them up on window sills, shelves etc so now they are all back in her teddy box. And I did 2 minutes in DD2s room getting rid of some of my things from there. Also hoovered upstairs.

That is me done for the day tbh until it is time for bedtime routine. I'll collect DD1 from pre-school at 12 and then try and think of something fun we can do....

Meant to say, FGS venetian blinds are fab aren't they? Lots of dusting though! Have you a special slat duster?

FunkyGlassSlipper · 10/09/2007 13:49

Do we have a zone this week????

I am going to visit my MIL in hospital this eveing, so it will be the first time my mum has put my boys to bed - so I do hope all is OK.

SlightlyMadSweden · 10/09/2007 17:24

STOP PRESS I failed in my task of initiating this thread.

We should all be doing todays mission which I should have linked this morning....Sorry guys.

Go and clean the top of your fridge. We are obviously in the kitchen for the week...

I shall not be doing mine as I have a shiney new fridge arriving tomorrow ...

Hi everyone. I was so happy to see so many people following the FLYlady system on here! I've been flying for a few months now and really feel the benefits. Its also given me a new perspective on housework by seeing it as "blessing my family" instead of just stuff i have to do.

How has FLYing inpacted your lives?

BigBearistheBigBear · 10/09/2007 17:29

Slightlymadsweden - I didnt notice you'd missed the link but as I have an integral fridge I cant do this one

Had a good day. Nothing done since this mornings posts but feel on top of things.

Know what is for dinner when DH comes home. Kids currently eating dinner. Will start evening routine later.

Bigmuthaclaire - FLYLADY helps me feel more organised and I know there is a way out when houework gets so dull and on top of me.

Bigbear - that is some list to get through....

winemakesmummyclever · 10/09/2007 18:50

Hi folks,

Have had a busy day as trying to get the house & ds's meals & clothes ready for the next week, as my mum is looking after him while we're away. Bless her, she doesn't know what she's let herself in for . I've left her notes on my routine so she can keep up the good work.

Will pack tomorrow, so can relax tonight & recover from the trauma of taking my mum to the supermarket.

Off for a glass of red, a bath & an early night.

See you guys in a week. Happy Flying .

winemakesmummyclever · 10/09/2007 18:54

But before I go, can I just say :

Bear - wow!

Jas · 10/09/2007 19:09
