Replacing frozen food after defrosting

I can't find a definitive answer in what you 'should' do, so wondering what people do in practice.

An hour ago, I emptied the freezer into the fridge half, close together to stay frozen, and switched power off. Am not opening the fridge door, to keep it very cold in there. Freezer has been back on 10 mins, but not sure when I can put the frozen stuff back in, as l don't want to do so before it's sufficiently cold to keep it safely frozen.

Have you got a temperature display? I would just put it in whichever section is coldest
