Has anyone used a cordless iron ?
Are they good. Do they hold tye heat and steam well.
My steam generator iron is kaput so I need to replace it.
If you have experience of both which would you recommend please ?

I don't, and never have had, a cordless but I do have a big steam generator iron. I was coming on to sing their praises but I'm sure you already know that Wink

Another steam generator fan here, I was put off the cordless ones by the fact that they'll need time to recharge while you are ironing - you don't need to wait for the steam generator unless you've just filled the tank.

@LadyEloise, I am late to the party but definitely get another steam generator iron. I used a normal iron in a hotel recently and my goodness it was like stepping back in time.

I do get my cord caught between the ironing board plate bit and the main board and it frustrates me, but nowhere near as frustrating as the little repeated pssh of a normal iron compared to psssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssh when you use the steam generator one. Grin

I had a Tefal one for about 10 years, and replaced it with another Tefal one. I try to remember to decalc it by rinsing out the unit once a month to prolong its life.
