I hung my washing out on the line today and it's only to get up to 6 degrees (crisp and dry though) Will it even dry?😂 will my neighbours laugh?

Who cares what the neighbours think, it will smell divinely fresh. Go for it!

Costacoffeeplease · 05/03/2020 08:27

What does it matter?

BikeRunSki · 05/03/2020 08:31

It’ll drip! It’ll be blown around a bit!

Cherry111 · 05/03/2020 08:33

It doesn't matter at all. Maybe I care too much what others think. Why even reply?

Disfordarkchocolate · 05/03/2020 08:35

It would freeze here. I'm hoping to get some out this afternoon.

userxx · 05/03/2020 08:38

As long as it's not raining my washing is out on the line, it does dry! It also gets it out from under my feet, I'm forever kicking the bloody clothes maiden. Do it 👍

justthecat · 05/03/2020 08:42

Put mine out yesterday and it dried, soon as there’s a bit of sun and a breeze it’s going out

Cherry111 · 05/03/2020 08:42

Thanks. I just want to get the clothes horse out of my way. I'll maybe hang some out later this afternoon

Glad it's not just me that's dying to get it out then. Roll on Spring!

Mine's out today!

TheRealHousewife · 05/03/2020 08:58

Mine went out yesterday and it dried. It was a cool clear day with a slight breeze.

Today is misty with damp air so I won’t hang out today.

What’s your air like .... damp or clear? There lays your answer.

NagaisAce · 05/03/2020 09:02

I was told if the ground is dry put it out.

eaglejulesk · 05/03/2020 09:03

I always hang my washing outside on a fine day in winter. As long as there is air movement it will dry - and if not completely at least partially and it will smell nice from the fresh air.

CaptainMyCaptain · 05/03/2020 09:09

I hung my bedding out on Tuesday and warmed it through on the radiator when I brought it in.

Costacoffeeplease · 05/03/2020 09:16

Because you asked a question, and I wanted to know why it would matter what anyone else thinks?

Cynderella · 05/03/2020 09:36

What @ postereaglejulesk said.

LittleMissGrumpyGrot · 05/03/2020 09:37

My DC have hay fever so I can't put washing out in the summer. I try to get it out on the odd late winter day before pollen becomes an issue.

Rainallnight · 05/03/2020 09:40

I’m dying to get mine out. Considered it the other day but then it started raining. Cheered myself up by buying new pegs and a peg caddy from Lakeland in anticipation!

Cinderemma · 05/03/2020 09:42

Hang it out. I'm hanging mine out. On Monday I got three wash loads out and dried.

Thisismytimetoshine · 05/03/2020 09:55

Is hanging washing on a line really so strange these days?! You think it’s so eccentric your neighbours will laugh? Confused

Cherry111 · 05/03/2020 11:06

It's out, and so am I with the wee one. It's actually nice. And no it's not eccentric, I just didn't want anyone tho think I was a bit strange as it's quite early in the year and cold
