Any recycling tips? How much do you recycle?

Just thought it would be interesting to hear what you all do by the way of recycling. We do try now with the milk bottles glass and cardboard ect. All the blue bin type stuff. Any tips or info on what you do?

We do paper, tins and glass - collected by the council, and then cardboard and milk / squash bottles that we take to the tip.

Paper is the only thing that our council collects, we take the rest cardboard, tins, glass and plastic all to the tip on a 2 week basis and by that time the pile is massive as we are a family of 6!

Council collects

Cardboard (once a month)
Glass/metal/paper/textiles/plastics/garden waste (every two weeks)

Have gone from filling a large wheelie bin to the brim every week (pre recycling) to one black bin bag a week !

Hi Yadda we have also gone down to filling a big bin every week to only having to put it out once a fortnight.
