Are there any things that you always notice in somebody else's home or your own or that other people seem to miss?

Dirty bins
Outside of appliances not wiped down (even though floor and sides are gleaming!)
Under the sofa
Dirty radiators
Tv covered in smears
Dirty microwave

What are yours?

Oh light switches and door handles!

Trying to get the place properly thoroughly clean and not sure what I may have missed

Cobwebs.

Smelly Fridges. When someone opens the fridge to get milk out and the whole place starts honking.

Chrome fittings covered in fingerprints

Chrome taps with water smears/toothpaste

Cobwebs and dust on light fittings, ceilings..

Just noticed grubby handprints on the front door, so a dirty front door

I don't care as long as they have the kettle on

Sure but if that's all your cleaner did when she came round you might not be so happy!

You didn't say the list was for a cleaner!

No but I'd like my house to look as though a cleaner had done a really good job, not like my usual half arsed attempts!

The cooker hood is often ignored, also doors, and skirting boards.

Skirting boards! My Mum always whines about mine 🙄 and now I can’t stop noticing other peoples...

Dirty draining rack
Dirty cutlery draw
Tea stained spoons and mugs

Everything but I don't see it at home.

I feel a bit off if someone has an unemptied waste paper basket if they have invited me around.

Probably windows, but that's because I'm rarely bothered enough to clean the inside of mine!

I notice windows. Mine could do with cleaning.
Large windows look particularly bad if dirty.

Light fittings, chrome sockets, crumbs on the toaster,

Dusty slays on blinds / shutters.

Whenever my best friend is coming to visit she always says you better get the light switches cleaned - she knows me too well!
