I want to invest in a luxurious duvet which brings a smile to my face every single night. Where should I be looking? Can anyone recommend a brand or product?

I would look at silk, wool or alpaca wool duvets.

I have an "all-season" mulberry silk one; 1x9.5 tog and 1x4.5 which clip together. To be honest, I find them brilliant when separate, but a bit bulky when clipped together, but it is lovely....

Do you want one that is not based on animal products at all Elahw?

If so, this one sounds very luxurious:

I got a Fogarty wool duvet to deal with the hot flushes. It’s not bulky but a nice weight. It’s supposed to keep me cool in summer and warm in winter. Summer seems a long, long way away but no complaints about keeping me warm this winter, and I live in a brick cottage facing the prevailing wind with no wall cavity (or insulation) - it’s been great so far.
